Y Pant Sixth Form is Closing
It is not a rumour, and it will happen if you let it.
Please HELP US to stop this
Y Pant has the best performing sixth form in Wales (see here) yet RCT proposes to shut it down and instead transport pupils to Nantgarw every day. This will have a devastating effect on the school, our community and most importantly, on our children (read the details here).
The proposal is to shut down all sixth forms across RCT, but why can't successful and sustainable sixth forms opt out of this process? Because Y Pant hasn't been given the option. This is what this campaign, organised by the families of Y Pant, is about.
During the summer we meet every other Thursday. If you want to join the fight please contact us. The more people who get involved, the more we can do to fight this. Please come along.
A big "thank you" to the more than 200 people who attended the public meeting on Thursday 13th May. For the many who couldn't make it, please see the Public Meeting link (on the left) for the presentation given that evening.
Below: UWIC Dean of Education Paul Thomas, and Welsh Rugby star Bradley Davies of Wales, Cardiff Blues and previously Y Pant

You can help!
But whatever you do, please do something or it will just happen.
We meet every Thursday at Y Pant School @ 6pm. Please come along.
Please come along and show your support.
